The Fishcon locks in Saxony enable fish from the river Lausitzer Neisse to overcome the approximately 3.9 m high weir of the existing hydropower plant in the park of the Muskau castle complex.

Projektbeschreibung

The Fishcon lock will enable a fish migration in the UNESCO World Heritage without significantly changing the landscape. The Fishcon lock was installed in September 2024 and is expected to go into operation in early 2025 after the power plant conversion work has been completed.
