The used Fishcon lock is the test facility on which initial tests by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna were very successfully implemented under laboratory conditions in 2017. Now the fish in the trout region should also be able to use this Fishcon lock for their migration, because the bristle fish pass originally planned at the location is no longer state of the art and an even more space-saving solution had to be implemented.
The Fishcon lock on the Schüss is expected to be extensively examined from the end of 2024 with the support of the Swiss authorities.
