Fishcon locks until end of 2025 in implementation and planning

The Fishcon lock is currently mainly used in the D-A-CH area (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), but projects in the USA and the Netherlands are also about to be implemented.

Fish pass Lippenannerl weir on the river Alm

The Fishcon lock was installed in the course of the revitalisation of the Lippenannerl diversion power plant parallel next to the newly built residual water screw turbine and overcomes a height difference of approx.

Fish pass Leumühle on the river Aschacharm

The Fishcon lock was built at the site after an unused ballast lock, overcomes a height difference of approx. 1.5 m and is operated with an attraction flow rate of 125 l/s.

Fish pass Burgkirchen on the river Mattig

The Fishcon lock at the river Mattig near Burgkirchen overcomes a height difference of 4.5 m and is designed for a hucho with a length of 80 cm.

Fish pass Schwarzmühl weir on the river Alm

The Fishcon lock was installed together with our partner company KFD at the Schwarzmühl weir in Upper Austria.

Research facility of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences

The true-to-scale research facility of the Fishcon lock was comprehensively examined by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna in 2017. (already dismantled)

Germany

Fish pass Frensdorf on the river Rauhe Ebrach

The Fishcon lock was installed at the Sauer Mühle in Bavaria after a flood damaged parts of the existing hydropower plant at the site and repair work became necessary.

Fishcon lock Bad Muskau on the river Lausitzer Neiße

The Fishcon locks in Saxony enable fish from the river Lausitzer Neisse to overcome the approximately 3.9 m high weir of the existing hydropower plant in the park of the Muskau castle complex.

Switzerland

Fish pass Cortébert on the river Schüss

The first Fishcon lock in Switzerland was installed at the river Schüss in Cortébert at an existing small hydropower plant from Mr. Köhli of GK Wasserkraft and is therefore another innovation that the operator is implementing.
